Season five of award-winning show begins later this month

Apple’s still got an Apple car, or at least its TV+ streaming service does as the company announces season five of “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” will begin streaming May 27.

So, who will drive Apple’s car?

The new season will put the following slebs in the passenger seat: Simu Liu, Jessica Henwick, Murray Bartlett, Alexandra Daddario, Sydney Sweeney, Zooey Deschanel, Jonathan Scott, Anitta, Saweetie, the D’Amelio family and more

They’ll share the ride singing along to their personal playlists, and embarking on adventures — this season include Simu Liu and Jessica Henwick; “The White Lotus” costars Murray Bartlett, Alexandra Daddario and Sydney Sweeney; Anitta and Saweetie; Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott, who first met on “Carpool Karaoke”; the stars of All Elite Wrestling; and the D’Amelio family.

Additional episodes will debut later this year.

What is Carpool Karaoke?

“Carpool Karaoke: The Series,” which has won an Emmy for each of its previous four seasons, along with multiple Producers Guild Awards and a Critics Choice Award, is produced for Apple by CBS Studios and Fulwell 73 Productions, with executive producers James Corden, Eric Pankowski and Ben Winston.

To date, Apple Original films, documentaries and series have been honored with over 244 wins and more than 961 award nominations and counting, including this year’s Oscar Best Picture winner “CODA.”

Apple continues to build out its services income, offering a range of add-ons to integrate with its hardware ecosystem.

We’ll see the value of the company’s high-margin, multi-billion-dollar services business realized as hardware sales decline in the face of the many crises impacting global markets in this time.

The company’s services segment alone is now bigger than IBM.
