US comedian and actor Bob Saget, best known for Full House and How I Met Your Mother, has died aged 65.
TMZ is reporting passed away Sunday at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, found in his room by hotel security.
In a statement police said,”Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”
Saget has been touring the US of late. On Saturday night, he was in Jacksonville doing a show. ” Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this shit,” he wrote on social media.
Saget played patriarch Danny Tanner on Full House for almost 10 years, opposite stars John Stamos, Dave Coulier, and TV daughters, Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin as well as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
He revived the character in a recurring role on Netflix reboot Fuller House for 4 years until 2020.
He was also narrator on How I Met Your Mother as the voice of the future Ted Mosby.
In the USA he also hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997.
His other credits included Entourage, Raising Dad, Surviving Suburbia, Quantum Leap, The Greatest American Hero, Joey, Huff, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: LA, Super Fun Night, Grandfathered, Shameless, The Good Cop, Louie, Madagascar, Farce of the Penguins, The Aristocrats, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, Critical Condition, Half Baked.
He recently competed in the USA’s Masked Singer as “Squiggly Monster”.
